About Us

Welcome to our day surgery department where we are now looking for a nurse. Here you will find a fun workplace run by nurses and nursing assistants, surrounded by a safe and experienced team. We primarily provide preoperative and postoperative care for planned and emergency surgeries, but we also handle day care treatments of various kinds. Patients from surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ear-nose-throat, and specialist dental care are treated here, with operations taking place during day/evening hours from Monday to Thursday and during the day on Fridays.

Our collaboration with various clinics creates a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge in several areas, which we believe is one of the best features of our unit.

We also have an exciting future ahead as our operations will move into new premises in the autumn of 2026. The move means that we will co-locate with the operating and recovery departments to create a Day Surgery Center, based on a new modern care concept. Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will primarily care for patients undergoing surgery but also receive day care patients who may need medication treatment, blood transfusions, or undergo examinations via the radiology clinic. You will work in a team with nursing assistants to ensure that the patient has what they need for safe and secure care. Your ability to guide the patient through their care day, combined with providing a calm and reassuring demeanor, will be central.

The pace of work varies but requires a good ability to coordinate and plan tasks to ensure a smooth care flow between surgery, radiology, and incoming patients and discharges. You should be able to work independently but will always have experienced colleagues around you to support you.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. We place great importance on personal qualities.

• You have a good ability to collaborate with others and communicate clearly.
• You possess a calm and reassuring demeanor.
• You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
• You enjoy working at a varied pace and switching between different tasks.
• You have good computer skills and a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. The position includes day and evening shifts. If you wish to work weekend shifts, there is an opportunity to rotate with the surgical department. The extent of this will depend on your own interest and the needs of the operation.
